Emily Swier – Queens Hockey

Year/Program: 3rd yr, B of Commerce
Emily scored a pair of important goals as the Queens managed to pick up three of four points in a weekend doubleheader against the expansion Olds Broncos. She had the team’s lone goal in a 2-1 shootout loss at home Thursday then scored the insurance marker in a 2-0 win in Olds Friday. Emily has been one of the team leaders this season and has five goals and three assists in eight games and shares third place in league scoring.
Matt Matear – Kings Basketball

Year/Program: 4th yr, Business Administration
Matt had a breakout weekend as the Kings won twice to run their record to 3-0. The fourth-year forward pumped in 21 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to go with five assists and two steals in a 115-107 win at Olds. He then had 17 [points, 11 rebounds and eight assists in a 103-78 victory at St. Mary’s University. He was named player of the game in both games.
